[Deleuze-Guattari] waffling, again...

Hi ruth.c, james and others --
I am a subscriber to the D&G list from the first, and I do recommend the review of some of the archives since there were often some pretty heady debates. I want to point out that desiring the return of clever minds or, as james put it, of the "great minds lurking in the shadows of this list", assumes that such minds a) recognize themselves as such, and b) would self-identify even if they did so. I do get the point -- that a list can only be active if its contributors are active, on all levels of reading and experience. So it is not that such contributors, as far as I can tell, do not have the courage, but more that such contributors have less and less time, given the vagaries of different responsibilities.
Ok enough from me -- hope to continue...
