interesting.. I wonder how close the voodoo experience actually
touches that distant rhyzome of violence that you speak of. It could
be also that the voodo is a layer on top of it. I think ol' crawboney
was suggesting a closer connection with slavery and the taylorisms
which the religion provides the believer, as a machine. but as you say
that machiine is quite ancient, but haiti is such a special case, I
wonder what makes it special in terms of that violence. and today, is
that rising violence dylan speaks of today (i dunno bout it) is that
violence a new special case today, more then an echo of slavery
history more then just an echo. does voodoo penitrate somehow like you
say in a dionysian way? why isn't everybody affected by that ancient
echo of violence, I wonder why is haiti special then, is it?
