[D-G] Re: Deleuze, Lacan, Symbolic

I don't present an answer but will say...

I don't think that the symbolic properly determines the actualization of singularities but the other way around.  The actualization of singularities determines what we come to call the symbolic. This I think is the split with Lacan in that the addition of the virtual is to replace the real (Zizek is wrong here) but is the condition of experience for the REAL-SYMBOLIC-IMAGINARY.

That being said, it seems like the "...structuralism?" essay has all the markings of Deleuze's fascination with Lacan, of course it may be a buggered Lacan. Maybe a look at LoS, the series on structure (8 i think).  there are a lot of similiarities here.  What is difficult is figure the switch from LoS to AE. Lacan is on the way out, but still a part-time hero in AE. But by the time you hit MP, he is the enemy.  

Maybe this will help us find the answer.  To re-formulate the question: What is the symbolic? and where does it go?
